MEMBER PROTECTION

At Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club, the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all our members are our highest priorities.

We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every member is respected, protected, and treated fairly. Our Member Protection framework outlines how we prevent and respond to any forms of misconduct, ensuring everyone involved with our club feels welcome and valued.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK

As part of our commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for all members, and in line with the SLSWA Member Screening Policy, certain members are required to complete a Volunteer Declaration and, where applicable, hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Who needs a Volunteer Declaration?

All members U14 - U17 and Parents/Carers with children registered at the club must complete a declaration each season;

  • U14 - U18: Child Declaration.

  • 18+ years: Parent/Adult Declaration.

Who needs a WWCC?

The following members will need to apply for a Volunteers WWCC through the club funded initiative:

  • Committee Members.

  • Age Group Managers, Surf Sports Volunteers and Trainers 18+ without children at the club.

  • Over Night Camp Volunteers U14+.

 

  • Non Volunteering Members without children at the club are exempt, but will need to Register as a Volunteer and submit the relevant Declaration or WWCC prior to any volunteer activities with the club.

  • Members who already hold a valid WWCC will be asked to provide their card details and expiry date via the link below.

  • Members who do not hold a WWCC will receive instructions on how to apply through the club via the link below.
