The Director of Nippers plays a key role in overseeing the club's Nippers program, ensuring children have opportunities to develop their surf skills, water safety awareness, confidence and teamwork in a safe and supportive environment.

Working with age managers, water safety personnel, coaches, parents and club leadership, this role will coordinate Nippers activities, support volunteer recruitment and development, oversee program organisation and help ensure sessions run safely and effectively throughout the season.

The Communications Officer will assist with emails to members, updating the Stack Team App, compiling the club newsletter and some social media support throughout the year.

We have the templates and tools all setup and you will working with our existing Comms Team this season to share the load, with a view to take on the role independently.

The Complaints Officer plays an important role in supporting the club's complaint management processes, helping ensure concerns are received, documented and referred appropriately, with fairness, confidentiality and procedural integrity.

Working in accordance with the Club Constitution, By-Laws, relevant policies and Surf Life Saving requirements, this role will help guide complaints through the appropriate channels, maintain accurate records and support fair and consistent processes while respecting the rights of all parties involved.

The Events Coordinator helps plan and coordinate our club’s social events — including the end of season Awards celebration, and other member activities throughout the season.

The role involves attending club activities, engaging with members, building on and coordinating the Events Support Team and promoting inclusion and participation. There’s plenty of support, you can take on the full role or just help with specific events or tasks.

Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO)

Help foster a safe, inclusive and respectful environment where every member feels welcome and supported.

Mandurah SLSC is seeking compassionate and approachable volunteers to join our club support team as a Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO).

The MPIO plays an important role in promoting member wellbeing, providing information about complaint resolution processes and helping members understand their rights, responsibilities and available support options.

Working in accordance with Surf Life Saving policies and club procedures, this role will provide a confidential point of contact for members seeking guidance on member protection concerns, discrimination, harassment, bullying or other inappropriate behaviour, and help direct them to the appropriate support and reporting pathways.

Mandurah SLSC is seeking a passionate volunteer to coordinate our Starfish Nippers program this summer, with the guidance of Director of Nippers, Julianne Moseley.

Starfish Nippers is a program designed to support members with diverse needs and abilities, ages U6 - U18, to experience the fun, connection and confidence that comes from being part of Surf Life Saving.
